How-to: Add Images to a Story
From Gruff Goat Wiki
Generally, I recommend creating your section, category, or story first. I also recommend creating and uploading your images in batches rather than singly. Then you may add any images you wish.
Section or Category
A single image may be easily associated with a section or category. The steps are:
- Upload your image (see Media Manager)
- Open the Section Manager or Category Manager
- Use the menu items 'Content>>Section Manager' or 'Content>>Category Manager'
- Or use the Control Panel Home
- Edit the Section or Category by clicking on its name.
- In the Image pull-down box, select the image you wish to use.
- This image must be located in /stories directory
- Select your image alignment
- 'Apply' or 'Save' your changes
Other Content Items
Other content items, whether they be static, frontpage, or news story may easily contain multiple images. See the figure below for more details. The steps are:
- Upload your image (see Media Manager)
- Create your content item or open it for editing.(see Creating and Editing Content Items)
- Select where you wish the image inserted
- Enter the text {mosimage} or if using the WYSIWYG Editor, click the 'Image Insert' icon near the bottom left of the editor.
- Repeat this for each image you wish inserted into your content.
- Select the 'Images' tab on the right side of the interface.
- Select your images from the 'Gallery Images' select box.
- If your images are located in a different directory, you may select that directory using the 'Sub-folder' pull-down box.
- Move your selected images into the 'Content Images' select box by clicking the double arrow.
- Adjust the order of your images using the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons.
- The order of the images in the 'Content Images' select box is the order in which they will appear in your document.
- Each {mosimage} tag matches an image in the 'Content Images' select box.
- The properties for each image in your content item may be set individually. This is done by:
- Selecting the image in the 'Content Images' select box so that a thumbnail of it appears as the active image.
- Then adjusting and applying the properties to your criteria.
- Finally, click the 'Save' or 'Apply' icon.
